Bonnie Ziegelstein is a licensed physical therapist and a nationally certified Pilates instructor. She practiced Pilates for several years before enrolling in the teacher certification program through Club Pilates in 2018. Within a few months she was able to start student teaching. During this time she also began integrating Pilates-based exercises into the treatment programs of her physical therapy outpatients. After completing all the requirements in 2019, she became a certified Pilates instructor.
She has been a practicing physical therapist in the greater Baltimore, Maryland area since 1984. She has experience with adults of all ages who have a wide range of orthopedic and neurological conditions. She utilizes a holistic approach and takes into account an individual’s health history, goals, lifestyle, and current level of activity. Bonnie likes to “meet” the person wherever they currently are, and assist them in their personal health and wellness journey.
What makes Bonnie unique is that she combines her PT knowledge and clinical skills with Pilates training, and her love of working one-on-one with people at all different fitness levels. Whether it is individuals who are recovering from an injury or surgery, or who want to improve their strength/flexibility/balance/posture to prevent future injuries, or those who simply like to maintain their fitness level and sense of wellbeing.
Pilates can be beneficial for all adults. It is low impact and incorporates correct posture, form, core stabilization, and breathing, as well as functional movement patterns that can be easily modified or progressed.
Appointment times are available on weekdays and weekends, and will be coordinated at the time of booking.
